Nicholas Remondino & Natalia Rogantini « Oraisson »

“Orassion,” halfway between improvisation and composition, is born from the timbral and contemplative union of percussion and positive organ. Recorded in September 2023, the album is the result of a shared prayer created from silence and sounds deeply amplified by the precious acoustics of the Church of St. Martin in Bondo, a small village in Switzerland.

The white walls of the church, the precious embroidery of the paintings, the immaculate colors, and the golden atmosphere surrounding the sounds envelop the enchantment, enhanced by the blending of the instruments, finding a journey of strong chiaroscuro. From the beginning of the album, composed of filamentous and subtle, bright and airy sounds, to its development towards a sound that gradually becomes more compact, heavy, and gloomy, a prism of light and sound is revealed that speaks of a dimension beyond, full of hope and mystery.

A journey that reveals a choral and expansive meaning, which is also reflected in the production that brings together three different labels of experimental, improvised, and creative music, such as Tour de Bras, Torto Editions, and Nunc. »
