Ritual Extra is a French-Finnish trio formed in 2014. They excel in repetitive, quiet and structured improvisation with noisy acoustic elements. The foundation is built around mutating and dissolving musical cells: Tuukka Haapakorpi’s voice, Lauri Hyvärinen’s acoustic guitar and Julien Chamla’s screeching cymbals and broken rhythms.
