« Dawn Fades » est la bande son d’une rencontre entre Richard Comte et Michel Henritzi qui débouchera sur ces deux albums. L’un étant enregistré en studio sans discussion au préalable, improvisation dans l’écoute de l’autre, lente dérive dans le son. L’autre étant un échange de fichiers impliquant une construction réfléchie, s’inspirant des principes du drone et d’une idée de l’accident, se dessinant un vaste terrain de jeu sonore fait d’immenses déserts intimes. Richard Comte et Michel Henritzi se partagent guitares électriques et lapsteel, improvisations suspendues à ces douze cordes.
“Dawn Fades” is the soundtrack of a meeting between Richard Comte and Michel Henritzi that resulted in these two albums. One was recorded in the studio without prior discussion, an improvisation based on the listening of the other, slowly drifting into the sound. The other is an exchange of files involving a deliberate construction, inspired by drone principles and the idea of chance, sketching out a vast sonic playground made up of immense, intimate deserts. Richard Comte and Michel Henritzi share electric guitars and lap steel, improvisations suspended on these twelve strings.
